Alana and Kenna: The Middle School's Dynamic Duo of the Hurdles!
Alana Brenny and Kenna Wensman may be new to the hurdles (and to track for that matter), but you would never know it based on their impressive performances this spring. The two have been on a middle school record-breaking rampage, shattering the 100 meter hurdle record (Alana) and 300 meter hurdle record (Kenna) in recent meets. The pair took first and second place in a recent middle school meet in Osakis and each have place very high in recent large varsity meets. Other middle school track athletes have also done well, with Skyler Figallo breaking the eight-year-old record in the 800 meter run, Conor Sittauer dominating the throwing events at middle school meets and Phil Wenner running wild in the 800, shot put and discus events. Taylor Nydeen has been beating up on the competition at the 7th grade level, winning several events including long jump and 200 meters. Finn Jacobson-Schulte, Max Seymour, John Meyer and Alex Holt have also been performing well along with super sixth graders Sonja Johnson, Ari Demming, Mayuri Vonnegut, Ben Jolkovsky and Kevin Stark-Haws.
Calista Snags a Monster!
During Outdoor Skills a while back, Calista Sorteberg hooked the biggest (and second biggest) fish ever caught in the history of the course! Fishing for sunfish in a back bay of Lake Sagatagan, Calista hooked this beauty with a plain hook and angleworm. Since it was a largemouth bass and largemouth bass are out of season, the fish was immediately released. Check out the Outdoor Skills page for more photos of fishing success.

_On Tuesday, November 29 Mr. E's homeroom went on a turkey rampage! Check out the photos of the results on our Photos page (link to the left). Who knew Mr. E was so crafty!
Parents: Is your child able to access their email, access PrepNet, AND open their locker?? If the answer is "no" to any of these questions, your student should let their homeroom teacher know. Thanks!
